The Grim Hunt Part 3 (The Amazing Spider-Man #636) (2010)
Script: Joe Kelly (w/Zeb Wells)
Art, pages 1-18: Marco Checchetto
Art, pages 19-22: Michael Lark & Stefano Guadiano
Spider-Man is gone and Kraven is back.
Kraven does not seem to be happy about it.
Violating the boundary between death and life has consequences.
There is dissension in the ranks.
And Kraven’s behavior seems erratic.
Not at all what his family was expecting.
This is an interesting turn.
And this is another one. At least, we’re weeding out some of the superfluous spider-characters.
I like the way they pulled off this twist. Of course, Spider-Man couldn’t be dead, but this was a clever fake-out.
But apparently, Kraven wasn’t fooled. Good stuff.
Hunting the Hunter Part Three: War
Writer: JM DeMatteis
Artists: Emma Rios with Max Fiumara
This second feature presents an earlier encounter between Kraven and Kaine.
This could explain how he could tell the difference between Kaine and Peter.
Kraven learns that Kaine has claimed his friend Mwanga.
And battle is joined.
Nice art throughout this issue.
