Adaptation. (2002)

Director: Spike Jonze

Writers: Charlie Kaufman, based (?) on the a book by Susan Orlean

Stars: Nicolas Cage, Tilda Swinton, Meryl Streep, Chris Cooper, Jay Tavare, G. Paul Davis, Roger Willie, Jim Beaver, Cara Seymour, Doug Jones

A screenwriter struggles to adapt a book that he feels is unadaptable.

That synopsis doesn’t even begin to touch the complexity and exhilaration of director Spike Jonze and Charlie Kaufman’s mind bending film about creation, frustration, and integrity.

The line between fact and fiction blurs and the narrative turns back on itself like a celluloid Moebius strip.

Just watch it.
